About OTC

I have worked in the renewable sector for the past 7 years, initially starting in the warehouse learning all about the kit and equipment used in the industry and mobilising big offshore projects before moving into the training department as a GWO instructor.

Prior to Renewables I worked for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service as a fire fighter, which gave me a great foundation of the subject knowledge, this enabled me to cross over to GWO, first aid and fire awareness being examples. After finding my feet as a training instructor I quickly worked my way up to be the senior instructor which involved maintaining course material and completing audits to obtain accreditations.

I’m very driven in my role as training manager at OTC so I strive to deliver the best and most realistic service possible, I aim to achieve this by utilising enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors, industry specific training assets and a comfortable learning environment.

I have worked in renewables for over 10 years, starting in admin support with receptionist duties I gained an understanding of the workings of the industry. Later I became the Project Coordinator working alongside a thriving projects team that managed everything from small offshore painting campaigns to big cable pulling projects.

My role would consist of day to day admin support and liaising with clients, but the most satisfying part of my work was having to be proactive to the fast paced working environment involved in being part of a larger team.

In my role with OTC I will be the face of the bookings, customer relations and the support that encourages an easy flowing training schedule. As company administrator I am keen to support the Instructors within training. I am also passionate to continue to be part of a sector that is continuously growing and developing into a brighter greener future.
